TheSkyNet POGS has been chosen as the marathon project in the BOINC pentathlon! To celebrate, we've got some great prizes to give away - including some free Lego. More details to come on how these prizes will be given out to pentathlon participants. Thanks for being part of theSkyNet!

I'll claim my prime Black Hole side property now, thanks! ;)

Good luck to all the Pentathlon participants and a big thank you to the project operators for maintaining a stable project to be able to support all the work being done!

More news on how the prizes will be awarded.

There are two Lego prize packs of $60AUD (~40 Euros or ~56 USD, thanks to pschoefer for the conversions) that can be delivered anywhere in the world. The Lego is of the winner's choice - what would you choose if you won?

If I was eligible to win I'd totally be getting this: http://shop.lego.com/en-AU/Iron-Man-Malibu-Mansion-Attack-76007 (mainly because I want the Iron Man figurine!)

Don't know - I have to ask my nephew first. ^^
Is there anything from/with Star Wars in that price-region? hmmm..

Maybe that one: http://www.amazon.de/Lego-75016--Homing-Spider-Droid/dp/B00B0IH3FG/

If its not to much work for; after Pentathlon, i would be curious about all the main-importand statistics, that happened, because of/during the pentathlon:

The TFLOPs-Peak (atm 100TFLOPs :) )
How many new Crunchers and PCs
How many Achievements (via theskynet.org)
How many galaxies
and so on... ;)

The first statistic is easy; The Peak of POGS was reached at last day of pentathlon #5.

According to graph on theskynet.org it was 105.47TFLOPs, around 17:00 on 18th March 2014. ;)

I can give you and even better graph than that.
This graph shows the TFLOPS calculated directly from the credits awarded, which responds much faster the RAC.

Alex

PS more stats too come.

A very interesting graph. Because POGS was the marathon-discipline u can figure out, when:
-the bunkers where opened (the beginning);
-the main part of crunchers switched to the other disciplines and get back to POGS the last two days.

My personal stats (for a new registered participant here): 100k creds during the pentathlon and 40trophys. Yeah. I have to come back after Primegrid-Challenge, to get more of them. :)

Hi rilian, Alex's other thread describes what was achieved during the pentathlon - heaps of scientific results (5,000 galaxies were processed!)
