According to Boinc stats there are "only" 329 users and not 2121.
And it also also say that the speed is 421 Gigaflop and not 1036.
I noticed that difference also with other projects. How come?
Btw. I think it is a great project, and it will get much more users in the future.
Nice work!

Message 466 - Posted: 30 Aug 2012, 8:25:34 UTC - in response to Message 464.

The server status page has:

Users #
with recent credit 352
with credit 361
registered in past 24 hours 15

Computers #
with recent credit 736
with credit 750
registered in past 24 hours 35
current GigaFLOPs 1,034

users in last 24h 137

I suspect the 2121 is a typo for what was 121 at the time.

Not that it matters anyway :)

Cheers,

Al.

No not a typo, it is the total number listed on the Top Participants pages due to the large number of contributors imported on August 16. The majority of these have not attached any computers. Of the total of 2,123 listed on Top Participants pages only 352 currently have any credit.

The import of teams and non attached contributors on August 16 was when the "incorrect password" problem started.

The 2123 is the number of users registered in the database.

I'm convinced that the Team Import caused the password problem. But it makes a good load test as we can slowly crank up the users.

Ah, now I understand. All those users with no computers attached who were imported on August 16 are Team Founders. I didn't realise that before. I had wondered why so many users appeared on that day. I knew they must have been imported but didn't realise why.
