Yes, that's my take and as the admin has agreed, this is the end of the story :)

Thanks all.

Agreed, to Bok and Al. The aspiring members of our community would offer help to test any new projects. When the test site was on-line for the first time in August and when it came back again some time in November, we were there, happy to grap some WUs.

I am not a credit-maniac. But if the stats are exported, so why not keep it there, as a little piece of history of the BOINC world.

Philip

P.S. Note that http://54.208.29.24/pogstest/ is now inaccessible. End of the story.

I replied over at Free-DC but will add it here.

Not sure if one of my other admins changed it already today, but it's named 'theSkyNet POGS' - http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=pog unless I'm missing something?

The stats never disappeared at all, just the test ones duplicated the main ones when the xml was replaced there.

Is there a compelling reason why the test stats should NOT be included? They did export their own stats for a while, so I added it in as it's still credits the users have gained - all 24 of us anyway. I've switched off the stats for it, so it won't attempt to update seeing as it holds the stats for the main project now in the xml files, but I'm leaving the last known stats in there for now unless there is a good argument to take it out. It affects other things at the Free-DC stats like the project MM's that some users chase (how many projects you have ever gained credit for, most 1k's in projects etc etc) - If I removed the data the 24 users that have got credit would lose one of those, so on this page for instance zombie would drop to 139 from his current 140. I'm sure he would notice and not be very happy :)

I've changed the description of the test project a little. I'm open to changing it more to remove confusion but it's fairly distinct now and shouldn't confuse anyone. If you want the link to the test site removed to stop people trying it, I'm happy to do that.[/url]

yes, no updates in the exports for a few days I've noticed too.

maybe not yet, looks like there is some form of block in place by amazon, likely for the agent I'm using. Investigating.

*EDIT* nope, my bad - typo, all fixed, should appear soon :)

Looks like the export is there now, I've added the stats to Free-DC, they'll appear within the hour.
