Your personal background.
My name is Rich and I'm a non-denominational Christian. I am a 45 year old IT guy that's been working in the field for over 25 years. I have been happily married for nearly six years. My wife and I recently completed adoption of a sibling group of three kids (a boy and two girls). We have a couple of cats and nine chickens.
I enjoy computer gaming, most especially Dungeons and Dragons Online and give a shout out to my fellow guild members in the "Knights of Stonekeep".
Aside from computers, I enjoy bicycling, reading, volunteering and metal-detecting.
Your opinions about theSkyNet POGS - the PS1 Optical Galaxy Survey
Since discovering distributed computing back in early 2000, I have been a member of Team Anandtech starting with the RC5 project, then running Seti@Home for a few years. For personal reasons, I moved away from SETI and have pursued projects I consider more of a pure science nature rather than speculative. Prior to SkyNet, I was most recently involved with Einstein@Home and Asteroids@Home leaving both due to continual server outages.
This project seems to be very stable and well organized and falls in line with my views and goals of pure science for the benefit of all.
